Vintage Barbie Ponytail #2 (Brunette) + Accessories

 hate to sell this rare beauty, but sometimes you have to pay the bills haha. The ponytail #2 is said to be rare because #2s were only made for a short period. And it’s been said that brunettes were made less than blondes, so if you are looking for a rare vintage Barbie, this is it! These dolls and accessories range from great to ok condition. They are sold as is.

It includes

-Vintage Barbie Ponytail #2 (Brunette)

•very rare as it’s been said #2s we’re made for a short period and brunettes were made less than blondes

•I believe she has the “Barbie Tm” on her butt but hard to tell because it has smoothed out a bit and has “Japan” on her right foot

•her face is in good condition with most of her face paint, she is missing some eyelash paint on the right eye; face has also paled completely and may or may not have some rare blue eyeshadow (or could be dirt as her face is a bit dirty)

•her nose also looks to have a slight nick at the very tip

•she doesn’t have green ear and she has her original hoops still in

•her hair is in rough condition with bangs having been flattened and most of her hair being cut off or gone (definitely some holes in the hairline, especially on left side); scalp is flocked

•her torso is in good shape with the issues being having turned mostly pale but has some flesh color still where the swimsuit sits, a few little scratches and dirt; has a little chip on left shoulder where arm meets

•her arms are in ok condition with issues being them having turned pale, some small scratches (three big ones on her left wrist) chips and stains/ marks and dirt; has a majority of her nail polish and arms move well

•legs are in ok condition with issues being them having turned pale (some color on the very top of her legs and behind her shins), some staining from the black mules (especially on the left foot), some small scratches, chips, stains/ marks and dirt; has a majority of her toe polish and legs move (a little stuck)

-Vintage Barbie Ponytail #5 head (Blonde/ Updo)

•has a factory updo, the up version I call it, where the ponytail is flipped into itself and pinned on the top; has remnants of the original bottom band

•face is in good condition with even some rare blue eye shadow but she is missing some slight eyeliner (on right front eye) and nostril paint

•she doesn’t have green ear or any remnants of it in (wearing safe pearl earrings)

•hair is good condition with original bangs, smooth ponytail and factory bun with original band pieces still in there; it does have some flyways and one little piece is coming out of the bun (but could be smoothed down)

-Vintage Barbie outfit #972 (incomplete)

•consists of wedding dress, white mules, pearl necklace, white short gloves, bouquet and garter (missing veil)

•white wedding dress is in great condition with only two little issues, some yellowing on the back satin by the snaps and a small tear in the lace near the shoulder (isn’t super noticeable); had Barbie R tag

•white mules are in ok condition with some dirt and yellow staining on the left one, bottom of heels are also dirty; left mules has “Japan” on it

•pearl necklace is a REPRODUCTION and is in great condition with no issues being

•short white gloves are in good condition with some slight yellowing and one pink stain on one

•bouquet is in ok condition with flowers in good condition and lace looking great but seems to be warped in a weird way and satin ribbons are very yellowed, dirty and with lots of wrinkles

•garter is in ok condition with it loosing the elasticity, having yellowed a lot (is more pale green than blue) and fabric around elastic is fraying slightly

•one flower on garter is ok and the other has the middle piece falling off and a bit crushed

-Vintage Barbie swimsuit and accessories

•consists of zebra swimsuit, #1 black mules, sunglasses and TM booklet

•zebra swimsuit is in ok condition with lots of yellowing, ware and flyaways (could use a good wash)

•#1 black mules with the holes in them; in great condition with little to no issues and have “Japan” on right mule

•sunglasses are good condition with only some slight yellowing, arms move all the way out

•Barbie TM booklet (came with #1/2s) in good condition with only issues being some ware, a bend near the top, a small tear near the bottom and a puncture on the blonde ponytail illustration

-Vintage Barbie outfit #917 (incomplete)

•consist of apple print sheath dress (is missing the black mules)

•it has the “Barbie R” tag which only came on the sheets dress when it was sold separately (as opposed to when it came with #917 Easter Parade)

•dress is in great condition with little to no issues; the collar on the back has flattened up so needs to be ironed or steamed down (doesn’t mess up the front though)

•zipper works well
